How to set up Netscape Messenger for Windows

  1. Open Netscape Navigator and select [Messenger] under [Communicator] on the menu bar

  2. After starting [Netscape Messenger], click on [Edit] on the menu bar and [Preferences]

  3. When the Window is open as illustrated below, select [Identity] and enter the following information

    4. Your nameEnter sender's name
    Email addressEnter your Email address

  4. Select [Mail Server], and enter the following information

    5. Outgoing mail (SMTP) serversmtp.nirai.ne.jp
    Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or TLS for outgoing messagesNever

  5. Click [Add] in the upper right-hand, and enter the following information in [Mail Server Properties]

    6. Server Namepop.nirai.ne.jp
    Server TypePOP3 Server
    User NameEnter your account name
    Remember passwordCheck

  6. Return to [Netscape Messenger], and click the button [Get Msg]

  7. After the Window is displayed, enter your mail password

    8. If your Password is entered correctly, you will be able to send and receive mail without re-entering your password.

  8. Setup is complete
