Required Equipment
1,Terminal connection device
- Windows 2000/XP/Vista computer
- Macintosh OS9 or later computer.
*Computers other than those mentioned above may be used, but no technical support will be available.
2,Cable Modem
- OCN will provide a Cable Modem during installation.
3,NIC (Network Interface Card, Ethernet Card)
- It is necessary for connecting the computer to the LAN cable.
- Please purchase 1000BASE-T(100BASE-TX 10BASE-T) ethernet hardware suitable for 1000BASE-T(100BASE-TX 10BASE-T) ethernet port.
- Not all NIC match all computers. Please be sure to purchase the right one for your computer.
- User is responsible for installing the NIC.
- No new equipment is needed for computers which is already equipped with 1000BASE-T(100BASE-TX 10BASE-T) ethernet Port.
4,1000BASE-T(100BASE-TX 10BASE-T) Ethernet Cable (CAT5 or CAT5e twisted pair)
- It is necessary for connecting the Cable Modem to a computer. (This is attached to the Cable Modem.)
- If you need an additional cable please purchase straight Cable (a Cross Cable cannot be used) from a computer store.
Other Notice
Even if you are a subscriber of OCN CATV, subscription to Nirai may not always be possible depending upon environmental factors, such as residence in an apartment house.
About old service plan
Nirai Basic and Nirai Standard plan are already finished . A customer using these plans need to change course.
